Good things are taking place in the aftermath of the earthquakes in Nepal. The women living together in this 42 family displacement camp are working hard to keep their children safe. In a temporary shelter made out of bamboo, they created a learning center.

On June 23rd, our team had the opportunity to train 33 participants, 10 moms and 23 daughters, at this location. They did exercises from the ‘I Am Safe’ and Bhitri Sundarta curriculums to share their feelings after the recent devastation and discuss what makes them feel safe. The women invited our team back to train them how to facilitate girls empowerment clubs using our Inner Beauty curriculum.

Many Nepalis continue to live in temporary shelters that will be especially challenging during the monsoon season, but it is exciting to see positive events like this take place!
