A picture really does say it all. This little boy in the Samari village of Nuwakot, Nepal is happy to see fresh water flowing.

Fresh water in this village is a benefit to all… especially to the women and girls who daily had to walk one hour to get water from a stream in the forest. This often left children at home unattended and caused young girls to miss school and not have time to do their homework. For $600 USD, we were able to provide 600 meters of pipe. With the help of 20 local volunteers, this village now has an accessible source that not only provides drinking water but a means of girl child protection in a high risk region of Nepal.

Thank you for giving… our team are now able to bring more permanent solutions such as roofing and water pipes to villages like this one that were devastated by the earthquakes in Nepal.
